Lunar HQ allows you to control how Roles are assigned to your Discord community members.

This is done through the creation of Rules.

The Rules list

The Rules list

Under MY SERVER**,** you can navigate to the server you wish to manage Rules for.

You will see a list of your existing rules on the server management page.

Click on VIEW ALL to see the full list of the rules.

Create a New Rule

Any server administrator can create a new rule.

  1. Click on CREATE NEW RULE

  2. Give the rule a name and a description, then choose the Role ****to which it should apply

The Role list is taken from the Discord server. If you wish to create a rule for a new role please ensure you create the role on the server first

  3. Click Next

  4. Select the Rule type

NFT rules allow you to assign a role based on the ownership of NFTs, either by quantity or by specific IDs

Token rules allow you to assign a role based on the quantity of a token that is held

  5. Click PREVIEW and check the details of the rules you will create.

If you’re happy with the details, click on CREATE RULE

Your rule should now appear in the list of Discord Rules.

<aside> 💡 Troubleshoot: My new rule doesn’t appear to work

If your new rule referenced a token that Lunar HQ has not previously seen it will need to be indexed. This is the process of querying the ledger for the history of the tokens. Once this is complete your new rule should start to work.
